A workspace for multiple images
A key focus is opening several cassette and disk images at once, comparing their contents, and dragging individual programs into a new collection. The goal is to make it practical to assemble and reorganise new CAS or DSK images from different sources.
Cassette, disk, ROM and WAV investigation
The tool explores CoCo and Dragon software through cassette, disk, ROM and audio-capture workflows. Importing, inspecting, extracting and saving are developed per format; not every source and destination pair will necessarily support direct conversion.
BASIC, 6809 and text discovery
It identifies BASIC and machine-code programs, extracts tokenised BASIC as readable text, and inspects 6809 binary segments and their load addresses. Text searches help discover strings buried within older programs and media.
Graphics and sound exploration
An image explorer searches for graphics in binary program data using adjustable offsets, sizes and CoCo display modes. The audio tools inspect input WAV recordings, investigate BASIC PLAY/SOUND and potential 6809 DAC routines, and work towards previewing and exporting recovered audio.
An evolving tool, not a finished product
CoCo Asset Manager is a long-term development project. Features are refined, added or revisited as interesting media and software are discovered. Dragon 32 and CoCo 3 compatibility, disk variants, audio recovery and conversion edge cases will continue to be tested. There is no final “complete” feature set.
